ICP designed this new small package product line after conducting numerous focus groups with dozens of dealers across North America. ICP General Manager J.T. Product Line Benefits
These new dealer-friendly small package products offer a combination of attractive features and benefits, including:
Quieter: These new products feature quieter operation as a result of additional stability provided by a newly designed, formed top panel.
-
Tougher: Full perimeter galvanized steel base rails give the units extra stability. Mainline PDS and PGS models feature durable stainless steel heat exchangers that have high-temperature capability and resist corrosion.
-
Easier to install: These compact units fit in the bed of a standard pick-up truck. None of them—even the 5-ton cooling capacity model—is wider than 45 inches or longer than 48 inches. Steel base rails make units easier to move and handle. These units are also designed for ground or rooftop applications; they are shipped for horizontal application and are easily converted to down-shot.
-
Easier to service: The new small package units have three separate easy-access service panels, with embossed images on each panel to indicate compressor access, blower compartment and control box. This enables service technicians to keep the unit on while running diagnostics, with one panel open and the others closed.
-
U. S. HVAC tax credit: Many of the new Comfortmaker brand small package products qualify for the 2009 U.S. HVAC tax credit. For a list of qualifying products, visit the GoComfortmaker.com web site.
-
Accessories: Accessories available for the new small package units include manual dampers, filter racks, economizers and roof curbs.
-
Premium warranties: The new small package products are covered by Comfortmaker’s Maximum Strength warranties, providing up to 10 years of limited warranty on parts, including the compressor; up to a lifetime limited warranty on the heat exchanger, and up to seven years of No Hassle Replacement™ limited warranty, which provides a new equivalent replacement unit if the heat exchanger, compressor or outdoor coil fails during the No Hassle Replacement limited warranty period (with a labor allowance for the dealer). Restrictions apply. Action may be required. Contact your local Comfortmaker distributor for details.
These new products will be phased into production throughout the remainder of 2009. Check with your local Comfortmaker distributor for availability in your area.
