(LEWISBURG, Tenn., August 15, 2007) – The KeepRite® IIS 80 gas furnace offers the comfort and efficiency of two-stage operation in a durable design. Benefits of this furnace include:
· Comfortable Performance: Two-stage heating operation regulates the amount of heat delivered to the home and helps eliminate the uncomfortable temperature swings common to single-stage systems by circulating a nearly continuous stream of comfortable air throughout the home.
· Efficient Operation: The two-stage IIS 80 furnace operates at 80 percent AFUE efficiency and features a multi-speed pre-lubricated PSC blower motor. IIS 80 models are California low NOx approved.
· Easy Installation: Offered in 50 MBTUh to 125 MBTUh capacities, the IIS 80 is certified for Category I venting, has three-position inducer capability and a one-piece pre-painted steel cabinet. Easy-to-remove doors and extra-spacious cabinets give technicians room to work. Versatile 24 and 115 volt connections allow for easy attachment of electronic air cleaners (115v) and humidifiers (24v and 115v). A masonry chimney adapter is available on some models.
· Reliable Service: Remote flame sensing improves safety by proving the flame lights all the way across the burner. High temperature limit control protects against overheating.
· Quiet Performance: A specially designed sound shield muffles operating sounds while keeping the furnace easy to service.
· Proven Dependability: Durable silicon nitride igniters last longer, can withstand high-line voltage and do not require voltage regulators. In fact, a sample of the igniters was torture-tested with the equivalent of 30 years of strenuous, high-heat conditions without failure. The IIS 80 furnace features an aluminized steel RPJ® III primary heat exchanger for years of dependable operation.
· Simplified Troubleshooting: A troubleshooting LED fault indicator helps diagnose nearly all system-related malfunctions. The fault indicator is easy to view through a sight glass in the blower door. For servicing convenience, the entire blower assembly is mounted on rails. Conventional gas valves also come standard on these furnaces for easy replacement and troubleshooting.
· Flexible Application: This multi-position furnace is ready for upflow installations out of the box, with all parts included for downflow or horizontal conversions. It is shipped ready for natural gas, with propane gas conversion kits available.
· Premium Warranties: The IIS 80 gas furnace includes a 25-year limited warranty on the heat exchanger, a five-year limited warranty on parts and a seven-year No Hassle Replacement limited warranty. The No Hassle Replacement limited warranty provides a new equivalent replacement unit if the heat exchanger fails during the No Hassle Replacement limited warranty period (with a labor allowance for the dealer).
